dress code & what to expect
The dress code at a meeting4dinner evening is smart but casual. We dont place restrictions on what you want to wear - whatever you feel good in is the basic line!
Because the dinners are held on a Thursday, we would like to think the evenings are a little more relaxed than if they were held on a Friday or Saturday night. Plus it gives you the weekend to socialise with other friends. Or perhaps go out on a date with someone you met at meeting4dinner?!
If you are wondering what to expect - do not fear. As a single person who has tried the single dinner circuit myself, I am always near the door to welcome you to the evening - no-one likes to wonder around looking lost and feeling silly. I wont let that happen. At initial arrival, I shall get you settled with a drink, introduce you to any other guests who have arrived and encourage mingling. At dinner, we sit at tables, generally of between 6 to 8 people. After each course I shall rotate the gentlemen to the next table; this occurs after each course, to allow everyone to meet everyone else. It gives you around 30 minutes with each set of people, to hopefully introduce you to someone you want to get to know a little better. The rest is up to you!
